25 year old cat ends up half way around the world... baffles everyone
Ozzie showed up at a UK animal shelter looking like most stray cats: no collar, no tags, and no other clues about where he came from.
That was until they scanned hiz leg for a microchip, and found out Ozzie was not only 25 years old, but he used to live in Australia!
Ozzie was born in 1989, oceans away from where he iz now. Microchipped in Sydney in 2000, he then showed up in a London vet clinic in 2004 before resurfacing again in Armagh.
The rescue iz desperately trying to put together the puzzle. The chip had no information on Ozzie's owners, and if he did have any, boy are they in for a surprise.
In the meantime, they iz taking care of Ozzie, making sure he's well fed and getting rest. They'll be looking to see if they can find Ozzie a new furever home.
"He is very thin but incredibly handsome," the shelter posted on Facebook. "Ozzie is a gentle affectionate cat. If only he could tell us of his travels."
