Family takes in tortie cat while expecting a baby, now the cat and little boy are inseparable
A family took in this adorable tortie when they were expecting a new baby boy.
They had no idea that when their boy was born, their cat would become his best friend and guardian.
“Lily was adopted from Street Cat Rescue as a kitten shortly before Peter was born, and the two are growing up together,” said SCAT Street Cat Rescue, a rescue group in Saskatchewan, Canada.
“The bond these two share brings joy and caring to both their lives.”
Many people have concerns about a cat and a baby growing up together.
“It is an unfortunate truth in rescue work that too many people still believe that babies and cats cannot coexist, and ‘we’re having a baby’ is a too common reason for surrendering a family cat.”
“Lily and Peter demonstrate that the opposite is true; growing up with pets provides kids with a whole long list of benefits, not the least of which is unconditional love and acceptance.”
The family couldn't be happier with their relationship.
As Peter grows, so will their friendship.
They have a very special bond that will last a life time. :)
