Werewolf kittens are here and you'll totally want one!
There is a new feline on the block, and it's wolf-like features are creating a buzz all over the internet.
These peculiar looking cats are called Lykoi cats, and are a result of a natural mutation.
"The Lykoi Cat is a natural mutation from a domestic shorthair that has the appearance of a werewolf. The mutation has occurred in domestic cats over the last 20 years, but to date, no reports of anyone starting a breed have been made," LykoiCats.com reports.
Lykoi have unique hair patterns. The cats molt, and at times can become almost completely bald like a Sphynx. They have no undercoat, and lack hair around the eyes, nose and muzzle.
They are, however, perfectly healthy cats despite their mutation.
"I like to compare the Lykoi to hunting dogs. They are extremely loyal to their owners (slaves), very scent motivated (yes, many cats are...but these guys go almost "on point" when they get a whiff of something!), and very intelligent. They are aware of EVERYTHING going on around them. They can be clingy at times, but generally if you are too busy to snuggle they will take "no" as an answer and will go amuse themselves...as long as they are close enough to keep an eye on you!"
"Lykoi love both human and animal companionship and as long as introductions are done properly, they fit right in with their new family members...the two legged and 4 legged kind!"
