Kitten trapped in storm drain rescued after 33 hours!
A crew of dedicated animal lovers in California helped save a helpless kitten that was trapped in a storm drain for over 33 hours!
David Loop of Sierra Pacific FurBabies, a non profit rescue organization in CA, arrived at 1:30 pm on Sunday and the kitten was finally pulled out at 10:30 pm on Monday. They refused to give up!
Faint meows were heard by customers at a Fontana Costco lot in California Sunday morning.
They found out the poor little kitten was stuck in an 8 inch pipe with very limited access.
Then it started to rain... and spirits dropped. They couldn't do much but wait it out.
But rescuers were determined to save him, and they banded together to pull off a miraculous rescue.
Using a snake camera from All American Plumbers who arrived on the scene to help, they tried for over 10 hours to try to locate the crying kitten. Then, it finally happened!
And after 33 hours... they finally got him out!
They named him Piper, and the little guy is doing great!
“I wonder he knows how lucky he is, how many people banded together and fought for him. I think he does,” David Loop said. “I think if he can say thank you to all of you guys, I think he would.”
We think so too. :)
