Kitten rescued by officer gets adopted into forever home (Gallery)
Several residents in Brooklyn heard a kitten's cries near a parked car, but couldn't find the fur ball. So they called 911 for help.
Brooklyn Sergeant Rios and Officer Reiff quickly came to the kitty's rescue.
Officer Reiff knew the kitten was stuck inside the engine area of the vehicle and used a jack to lift the car so he could take a better look.
After spotting the kitten, he was able to pull him gently to safety.
Covered in dirt and grease, the officer took him back to the precint to get a bath and some cuddles.
A fellow officer fell in love with the kitten and immediately adopted him!!
Off the streets, this kitty is now living in a loving home.
