Cat healing from gunshot wounds finds best friend in little girl
In his former life, Flower the cat was left to roam outdoors. —It was a life so dangerous that he was hit by a car and ended up with gunshot wounds, as PETA discovered when he came in for a free neuter surgery.
"That's why, when his former owner asked PETA to find him a new home, we jumped at the chance—and soon he was safe with his new family, including 3-year-old Hannah, with whom it was love at first sight," Megan Wiltsie of PETA shared with Sunny Skyz.
Hannah, who chose her new best friend's name, and Flower have been inseparable since the day that he moved in.
As this video shows, the happy pair do everything together—snuggling, napping, playing, and even practicing "their" reading!
"I love him!" says Hannah in the video. "He came from the shelter because he didn't have a home. Some dogs and cats don't have homes."
He has a loving home now, like all animals deserve.
