Every single animal at the shelter got adopted... except for this cat
Every single animal in the shelter found a home, but this poor guy was left behind waiting in an empty room.
A few days prior, Mimi the cat was surrounded by friends at the shelter. That was until the Brampton Animal Services in Ontario, Canada, held a two-day adoption event to find all of their animals homes.

It was a resounding success — 18 kittens, 7 cats, a couple of bunnies and one dog found new homes.
In fact, all of these cards hanging proudly at the shelter represent a happy ending:

But one was missing... and that was Mimi's.
Poor Mimi was waiting eagerly for a new home... but no one came. He was left confused by the empty room.
"Poor Mimi is literally the last cat standing in our cat room! Since Saturday morning we've sent home 18 kittens, 7 cats, 2 bunnies and one dog - but poor Mimi is still looking out (literally) for his new family!" Brampton Animal Services wrote on their Facebook page.

Mimi is a bit more independent, but still a sweet boy who would love a home.
After the shelter posted his picture and status on Facebook, calls started coming in.
It wasn't long until a couple saw Mimi and knew they had to have him!
The couple showered him with love and took him to his new home.

After getting left behind all alone at the shelter, Mimi is finally in his forever home.
