Miracle cat rescued out from rubble over A MONTH after deadly earthquake
This cat somehow survived 32 days buried under rubble from Italy's deadly earthquake.
Meet Rocco the miracle cat!
On Sunday, firefighters working to clean up the ruins in the hard-hit village of Rio di San Lorenzo made a discovery they could hardly believe. After 32 days, a cat was found alive under the rubble caused by the devastating 6.2-magnitude earthquake that leveled central Italy.
He had wedged himself in a tiny space and never gave up hope that he'd be rescued.
Besides being dehydrated, Rocco was in good condition. It was unbelievable how he survived without an obvious source of food or water.
Rocco's human parents were at the site to oversee the demolition of their home, and had no idea that Rocco was buried under there... still alive!
When they saw Rocco, they were overcome with joy!
Veterinarian Cristiana Graziani, who was on hand to treat Rocco after the rescue, said that the cat seemed in high spirits after his the long ordeal — having energy enough to purr in the arms of his owner.
An incredible story, but true," she wrote.
Over 200 animals have been rescued since the earthquake hit thanks to these brave rescuers.
