Woman's cat ladder saves the strays from harsh winter (Gallery)
Sebnem Ilhan works as a dentist in the town of Tekirdag, Turkey, where winter has been colder than usual.
She’s a well known cat lover in her neighborhood, who takes care of the local strays.
To combat the cold for her fur friends, she decided to open up her doors in a pretty adorable way.
"I made the ladder so the cats can come into my comfortable house," she told The Dodo.
Worried her neighbors would be displeased with the ladder, Ilhan decided to spruce it up a bit.
"I thought if I put some flower pots there, it wouldn't bother anyone," she said. Luckily, the reception has been overwhelmingly positive – from both her neighbors and the stray kitties happy to have a warm place to stay.
The ladder is just one of many ways she helps the local animals. She also volunteers her time to see that stray dogs and cats throughout her city are cared for as well.
"I wish no animal is hungry or thirsty, just happy," she said. "This world is not just for people."
