Officer who rescued cat that lost her owners goes back to shelter to adopt her
When this striped tabby lost her family, a police officer found her and took her to the shelter.
The bond the officer shared with the cat was unforgettable. He couldn’t get her out of his mind…

"Julia was in the house when the Anne Arundel County Police were there because her owner had died at home not long after his wife passed away," Chris Collins of Friends of Anne Arundel County Animal Control told Love Meow.
When officers arrived at the scene, Julia cried pitifully. Corporal Hollis with Anne Arundel County Police in Maryland picked her up and held her in his arms to comfort her before taking her to AACAC.
"As is usual when there does not appear to be any relative to take the pet, she was brought to Anne Arundel County Animal Control," Collins said.
Julia stayed there for a week while it was confirmed that there was no relative interested in taking her.
Hollis knew what he had to do.
"Once she became available, she was quickly adopted — by this officer, the same one who had brought her to the shelter."

Hollis was looking to adopt a fur companion before he met Julia. And once he picked her up, he never wanted to let her go.
Now she’ll be living in his home forever.
