This shelter takes in all the unwanted cats and gives them a forever home
The Kitty Adventure Rescue League and Sanctuary is a wonderful place for unwanted cats to live out the rest of their lives.
“We are a 501c3 rescue and sanctuary for special needs, disabled, elderly and otherwise unadoptable felines in the DFW TX area,” Kitty Adventure shared on their Facebook page. “We are a husband and wife team that works around the clock to provide shelter, vet care, accommodations, and most of all love to all of the felines that have been thrown away. We do also work very hard to adopt out healthy and happy cats throughout the year, and host adoption events at local PetCos and PetsMarts.”
“We take in cats with any existing aliments, those that can be adopted usually find loving homes and those that can't, live out their lives with us in comfort.”
“We both work full time jobs while caring for everyone. In addition to seniors, we also take in younger special needs cats as our space and financial ability allow. Adoption isn't our main focus, as we aim to be the forever home of any cat that comes to live with us, but we do adopt out to the right families. And of course we adopt out the younger ones too!” Kitty Adventure added on their website.
“While our work is very sad, we do lose a lot of family members in a relatively short time because of old age or chronic illness, our focus is on the positive aspects of having a senior pet. Yes, they can be expensive, attitudes and behaviors can change, bodies become frail and strat to betray them, but they are family and we promised them forever. A day, a month, a couple of years, forever. We made a promise to care for each and every cat and give them the very best in tasty food, medicine, and comfort.”
Care doesn’t come cheap however. If you are interested in doing a good deed, please consider a donation to their website here.
