After 15 years, her fur angel was put to rest. Her touching tribute is worth the read
Cats have a way of leaving paw prints on our hearts forever.
"I put my fur angel to rest two days ago. I love you so much Sunny! Thank you for being my best friend for 15 years! You got me through my darkest days," hortenseclock shared on reddit.

Sunny passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and tears of his family. Found in a Walmart parking lot 15 years ago, Sunny became a part of our family. Having outlived many of our puppy babies, we are very fortunate to have had him for the long while that we did.
Suffering silently during my childhood from abuse and the death of my brother, Sunny was sent to me from God when I needed him the most. While my mother was heartbroken and my family was torn apart, I had a friend to comfort me. A beautiful little orange fur baby who would lay with me. Never expecting me to talk, never expecting an explanation, he gave his love unconditionally and generously.
During my darkest hours, in my deepest depressions, he would sleep hours and hours on end with me. Sunny is my one true friend and my longest companion.
His favorite hobbies included sharpening his claws on all my moms couches, playing outside with his puppy brothers, playing predator with teasing fingers, and eating to his hearts content.
He will be remembered by us for all time, and even though his soul has left his precious body and returned to God, I still hold a piece of his spirit with me in my heart. I love you forever my precious Sunny baby boy. I am sorry I had to end your suffering so soon. I love you so much."
Our fur angels only get to spend so long with us in our lifetimes, so be sure to charish them always.
