Senior cat that spent 10 years in a shelter finally got his furever home (Gallery)
A senior kitty with FIV spent 10 years in a shelter... but is now living the life of a happy house cat!
“I got my little guy Benny almost 2 years ago!” Benny’s furever human shared. “He was in the shelter for almost 10 years and the name that they originally gave him was Bennifer because it was the name of a popular celebrity couple at the time.”
“He's 13, has no teeth, he's FIV positive, he tolerates me singing "benny and the jets" very frequently, and he's a big fan of snuggling. I love Benny very very much”
“HE IS SERIOUSLY SO SWEET AND LOVING and only a little bit of a turd :) I like to send updates to the shelter and let them know how he's doing since most of the volunteers remember him.”
“I feel like maybe people can be generally uninterested in older cats, add the FIV and no teeth thing and he kind of had the odds stacked against him.”
Benny is loving the life of a house cat and even though it took 10 years, he is finally getting all the love that he can handle! (and deserves!)
