Creativity is a lot like a cat

Creativity is a lot like a cat. Sometimes it comes to you when you call it, and many times it does not. You can't force it. The harder you try, the faster and further creativity runs from you. 

So, all you can do is nurture your creativity, feed it, and wait for it to come to you. 

And it always comes...sooner or later. So welcome it, even if it's in the middle of the night.
